Before You Book

Frequently Asked

Booking
How do I reserve a spot?+
Choose your tour on the Trips page and submit an inquiry, or book a call with our team. We'll confirm availability and send you deposit instructions to lock in your seat.
How much is the deposit?+
Deposit amounts vary by tour — typically 30–50% of the total investment. For example, it's $1,900 on Canyon Roads, 50% ($1,175) on Eagles and Dragons, and 30% on Wild West Loop and Morocco Experience. Your deposit is applied toward your total tour cost.
What's the cancellation policy?+
Deposits are non-refundable, as they secure your spot, motorcycle, and hotel reservations. The remaining balance can typically be paid in installments up until the deadline noted on your tour page (15 days to 1 month before departure, depending on the route). We recommend personal travel insurance to cover unexpected changes.
Do you offer payment plans?+
Yes — after your deposit, the balance can be split into monthly installments due in full 60 days before departure. Ask your booking coordinator to set this up.
Motorcycles
Can I bring my own bike?+
Yes, where logistics allow. Let us know when you book and we'll confirm transport and parking arrangements for your route.
Can I rent a bike from you instead?+
Yes, on select routes. Contact us and we'll confirm rental availability and pricing for your specific trip.
How does bike transport work?+
If you're bringing your own bike, we can advise on shipping or trailering options for your specific route. Rental motorcycles are available on select routes — contact us to check availability and staging details for your trip.
What motorcycle do you recommend?+
It depends on the terrain and your experience — adventure routes call for a different bike than highway-heavy touring. Contact us and we'll match you to the right rental for your route.
Hotels
Are rooms shared or private?+
Standard pricing includes a shared twin room. Solo riders are paired with another rider of the same gender unless a private upgrade is purchased.
Can I upgrade to a private room?+
Yes — a private room supplement is available on every tour. Pricing varies by route and is shown at checkout.
What quality of hotel should I expect?+
We hand-pick 3.5–4.5 star properties on every route, prioritizing secure motorcycle parking, comfortable beds, and proximity to the next day's ride.
Riding
What skill level is required?+
Most tours are rated Moderate and assume comfortable highway and mountain-road riding experience. Advanced-rated tours include technical or off-road sections.
Are your tours beginner friendly?+
Newer riders are welcome on Moderate-rated tours if you're comfortable on longer highway stretches — talk to us before booking and we'll help you pick the right route.
How many miles per day?+
Typically 150–260 miles per riding day, with regular stops. Exact daily mileage is listed on each tour's itinerary.
What percentage is off-road?+
Most tours are 100% paved. Adventure-designated tours may include up to 20–30% gravel or dirt — this is flagged clearly on the tour page.
Food
Is breakfast included?+
Yes — daily breakfast at the hotel is included on every tour.
What about lunch and dinner?+
Lunch and dinner are not included, giving you flexibility to choose local spots — your guide always has recommendations along the route.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?+
Yes — let us know at booking and we'll flag it to hotels and factor it into stop recommendations along the route.
Gear
Is there a packing list?+
Yes — every rider receives a tour-specific packing list after booking, and our Rider Resources section has a general guide.
What riding equipment is required?+
A DOT/ECE-approved helmet, riding jacket and pants (or a one-piece suit), gloves, and over-the-ankle boots are required on every tour.
What if the weather turns?+
Layer-friendly, waterproof-rated gear is strongly recommended. We monitor forecasts daily and will adjust routes if conditions require it.
Safety
Is there a support truck?+
Yes, on every tour — carrying gear, water, spare parts, and first-aid supplies, trailing the group throughout each riding day.
What happens if my bike breaks down?+
Our on-call mechanic handles most issues trailside. If a bike is out of commission, the support truck can transport you and arrange a replacement where possible.
What about medical emergencies?+
All guides carry first-aid training and satellite communication where cell coverage is unreliable. We maintain relationships with local medical facilities along every route.
Payments
What payment methods do you accept?+
All major credit cards and direct bank transfer, processed through encrypted, PCI-compliant payment providers.
When is the final payment due?+
60 days before departure for the remaining balance after your deposit.
What's the refund policy?+
See our Booking section above for our tiered cancellation and refund schedule.
Insurance
Do I need travel insurance?+
We strongly recommend it, and it's required for international tours. It's not included in the tour price — we can recommend providers on request.
Is motorcycle insurance included?+
Rental motorcycles carry base liability coverage; a supplemental damage waiver is available and recommended. If riding your own bike, your personal policy applies.
Flights
What airport should I fly into?+
Each tour page lists the recommended arrival airport — for example, Missoula Montana Airport (MSO) for the Wild West Loop, or Casablanca Mohammed V (CMN) for the Morocco Experience.
Is airport transportation included?+
A group transfer from the recommended airport on Day 1 is included on most tours — details are confirmed with your booking.
